RICKIE’S TAKE ~ (A decent signing) – – – A forward who is also very comfortable playing from the wings. He’s represented Cameroun at International level at two World cups. Known for his power and purposeful dribbling, he’s a player with pace, long strides and amazing work-rate. He’s definitely a good addition to the Stoke City side.

SEAD HAKSABANOVIC – – – (Midfielder) – – – {Halmstads BK to West Ham} – – – Fee: Undisclosed (reported £2.7m) Haksabanovic

RICKIES’S TAKE ~ (A brilliant signing) – – – A teenage attacking midfield sensation from the Swedish league where he made his professional debut at age 15, the second youngest player to feature for a league side in that league. He’s gone on to make over 70 appearances at just 18 years. As a pretty young attacking midfielder, it’s safe to say that he is one for the future with a huge potential. Good deal for West ham.

DAVY PROPPER – – – (Midfielder) – – – {PSV Eindhoven to Brighton} – – – Fee: Undisclosed (reported £6m) Propper

RICKIE’S TAKE~ (A good deal for Brighton) – – – Not your typical marquee midfield maestro, but he’s equally efficient in his game and quite prolific for a midfielder. He helped PSV win the league title in his first full season after joining them in 2015 from Vitesse Arnhem. He scored 16 goals for PSV in 67 league appearances; proving he would be a quality signing for Brighton, who broke their transfer record to get the player.

MARIO LEMINA – – – (Midfielder) – – – {Juventus to Southampton} – – – Fee: £15.4m up to £18.1m Lemina

RICKIE’S TAKE~ (A great signing for So’ton) – – – A young and outstanding 23yr old Gabonese midfielder who has hit the limelight due to his explosive display in midfield for Juventus in Italy. At 23, he’s amassed so much experience at the biggest stage. He’s won the Serie A title, the Coppa Italia twice, and also played against eventual champions, Real Madrid in last season’s Uefa Champions League Final. His joining Southampton for a club record fee, after 2 years with Juventus would surely bolster an already talented side, and help propel the Saints forward in the coming season. He’s a player to watch out for, as the season commences.

RICHARLISON – – – (Forward) – – – {Fluminense to Watford} – – – Fee: £11m

RICKIE’S TAKE~ (A good deal for Watford) – – – A young 20-year old striking sensation from the Brazilian league, Richarlison, is the top scoring U-20 player in Brazilian football for 2017. Having played for top Brazilian league side Fluminese, he scored 19 goals in 67 games for the side, bringing comparison with himself and Manchester City’s Gabriel Jesus. With his International experience, suffice it to say that Richarlison has the potential of being one of Brazil’s top strikers in the making, and Watford can be excited about the quality he would add to the team. He’s capable of playing anywhere across the front line, with pace and directness. He’s surely one for the future.

Andre Gray – – – (Forward) – – – {Burnley to Watford} – – – Fee: Undisclosed Gray

RICKIE’S TAKE~ (A good deal for Watford) – – – A young and energetic hard worker. He’s not as prolific as his work rate suggests. But after signing for Watford for an undisclosed club record fee of about £18.5m, he would have to deal with the added pressure of his relatively big transfer fee and deliver the goods for his new side.

Bruno Martins Indi – – – (Midfielder) – – – {Porto to Stoke} – – – Fee: £7m Martins Indi

RICKIE’S TAKE~ (A brilliant signing for Stoke) – – – Spent the last season on loan with Stoke and finalized a permanent deal for a decent transfer fee this summer. He was one of the few regulars and stand-out players for Stoke City last season, featuring in 35 out of 38 Premier league games. A hard tackler and a sturdy box-t- box midfielder, his experience on loan with the team already makes him a good fit for Mark Hughes’s side, as the new season kicks off.
